Renovation/furnishing an old industrial yarn dyeing mill into an office loft with additional private residential function. All this was done in an open minimalist, industrial look: glass, blue untreated steel, radiant panels used as heating, louvre optics, etc.

All this with respect for and maximum preservation of existing characteristic elements such as the structure, the concrete floor and the roller bridge. Although the plan was to remove the latter, it eventually became an eye-catcher in the space.

Apart from the optimum use of space in the location, extra attention was paid to the acoustics because of the many hard materials. In addition, a detailed HVAC study resulted in installing an extremely economical heating system (half of the originally planned capacity), and a minor intervention resulted in not having to install mechanical ventilation.
